To God Be ALL the Glory!

Another great day in the town of Tuizicaja! On the second day of our VBS, 196 children, 60+ adults, and 19 volunteers attended! Praise God. These children are so eager to be here and are happy with whatever we do for them.

One highlight of the day was teaching them how to launch rubber chickens into the air with the water balloon launchers. They absolutely loved it!

We have also had the opportunity to teach them a song in English, “J is for Jesus.” What a cool thing that kids in Guatemala will hear the Word of God in Spanish, Mam (their talking language), and English. We are also teaching them “Making Melodies” in Spanish.

The children will be presented with the plan of salvation today. Please pray that their hearts will be open to the message. They are already the happiest people I have ever met in my life. Imagine the level of happiness with Christ as their Lord and Savior.

The ladies on our team hosted a Tea for the ladies in the town yesterday. 58 ladies attended the 2 hour tea. What an awesome time!

Our team also had the privilege and honor to visit homes of the families in our sister church. What an experience. The people have so little, but they are so happy and content. DJ and I visited the home of a widow and her daughter. They allowed us to try our hand at making corn meal with the hand grinder. The little things we take for granted. What a neat time that God allowed us to be a part of these families for a little while.

For the past two nights, the power has gone out in the town. However, it was during our devotion and God-moment time. We lit candles and sat in the great room at the Mission House together. It was an incredibly special time for our team to focus on why God has sent us here. Don’t tell the team, but I think I will turn the lights off tonight, even if we do have power.

Please continue to pray for our team.

Hasta Manana!
Senor Bill
