Greetings from GUATEMALA!

Buenos dias, Buenos tardes, o Buenos noches from Guatemala!

Wow! We are here in Comitancillo, San Marcos, Guatemala. It took us a day and a half to get here, and the roads were unlike anything we had ever experienced in North Carolina.

I will update this blog with our experiences as frequently as possible, and I will also attach pictures.

We celebrated with our sister church yesterday in a welcoming service that lasted for 2 hours, and I had the opportunity to preach. I shared with them that many of the children at BBC had helped us to get to Guatemala by praying and making the crafts and activities that we brought with us. Please know that each of you are a part of our mission trip here. God uses all of us in different ways to achieve HIS purposes.

We have experienced several “God Moments” already. These are moments that the team has seen direct evidence of God with us. We will continue to include these in our blog , as well.
1. The eyes of the children – The first thing we noticed when we walked down the corn path to the church was the eyes of the children. Their eyes are absolutely beautiful and welcoming. A direct reflection of our Heavenly Father.
2. The welcoming spirit – The people in the community of our sister church welcomed before they had even met us. They greeted us and brought us into their families. Everyone spoke to us, and I do mean everyone. We could all learn a lesson from them on acceptance.
3. God’s Protection – On the drive in to Comitancillo, we were driving on a mountain road and prepared to pass a stopped cargo truck on the side of the road. As we approached the truck, a soccer ball (looked more like a large rock) rolled out into the road. As we reached the mid point of the truck, a young boy ran out to retrieve the ball and he did not see our van in the road. God allowed our driver to see the boy and swerve to avoid hitting him. What a wonderful God!

Please continue to pray for our team as we are here. Today, we will do our first VBS at our sister church. Pray for the children and the families.

I can’t wait to show you all of the pictures when we return. Thanks for your prayers.

Mr. Bill

Hey Mr. Bill! It's great to hear from you. We are praying for you and the team this week. It's obvious that God is already working!Thank you for representing Him and BBC. Wish we all could go.
